I met Kelsey Lyn through social media, and I simply asked her if she wanted to do a Collab video with me, because I thought she was a great singer, but as it turns out I had no idea what to sing with a girl.
It occurred to me, that maybe I could play some pop songs from Taylor Swift, Pink or Miley Cyrus, then one day as I was driving my car, I heard this song on the radio, almost in every station, the song was good, I liked it very much even though I don’t listen to Pop music so much.
The song was “Dance Monkey” from Tones and I, so I said “Let’s play this one!!” And she said “Awesome, let’s do it!”, but little did I know about this band, and how they started.
Toni Watson was born in Australia, and started singing since she was 7 years old, which was a surprise to me because Kelsey Lyn had started when she was 5 years old, immediately I saw they had something in common.
If you listen to our podcast, you can find out how she started singing a cappella cover versions in Youtube, and after started Busking along the Australian East Coast, until she recorded her first single, and after that broke the record as number in more than 30 countries.
